July sales in Southern California fell to the volume of July 2007 sales. This came as a big surprise as most of us were hoping we had seen the last of the market slow down. Please take note of the main points of interest:
#1 – 2009 “Detached” Sales from January 1st – August 31st
a. Number of “Detached” Homes Sold: 71
b. Average Price of a Detached Home: $1,926,526.00
#2 - 2010 “Detached” Sales from January 1st – August 31st
a. Number of “Detached” Homes Sold: 59 (17% Drop)
b. Average Price of a Detached Home: $1,746,406.00 (10% Drop)
#3 - There are currently 60 homes in various stages of foreclosure in Del Mar
